This course has been put together to introduce you to the requirements of employment within a food processing plant. The information contained in this course has been provided by food processors in the Pacific Northwest. This report establishes a new learning direction for the food processing industry in the Northwest. Food manufacturers, and their educational partners, now can identify consistent employment, occupational, and academic standards. Workers learning will be enhanced with an industry standard of the knowledge and competency required in five common job categories. Laboratory Technician, Trimmer, Inspector, Belt Sorter, Maintenance, General Mechanic, operator, sanitation. This document contains skills standards for Agriculture and Food Processing in the areas of Ammonia Refrigeration and Electrical/Electronics Occupations.
